Hopi Kokopelli Sterling Watch band Ends Hand Made

"You are bidding on a hand made Hopi watch bard set of ends that are not marked but test sterling silver. The depict 'Kokopelli', the Hopi flute playing hunch backed god and trickster. The ends measure 1 1/16" at the pin and 5/8" at the band. You can see the hand saw marks which can be expanded about another 1/8" or a tiny bit more. Perfect condition, original patina."

That's what the listing said when I purchased these watch tabs on Ebay.  (Note: photos & more comments when item arrives).  "Original Patina" seems to mean they have not been polished in years and are uniformly black all over.  Looking closely at the two pictures the seller provided I can see the visible differences between the two pieces, indicating it was hand made.  Given the seller has almost 5,000 feedbacks and is 100% it seemed like a safe purchase.

I was a little surprised the seller didn't mention the weight.  With the current precious metals mania old jewelry like this is bought as much for it's silver content as anything else.  At $30 per Troy ounce even a few grams of silver puts a floor under the price of these items.

Once it arrives I will polish it up, take more pictures and write more about it.
